EV charger cost and installation in Armenia

By EV Armenia team · Updated

Short answer

We found no published Armenian price quotes for AC or DC chargers, installation or grid connection, so this page gives no prices. It explains what drives the cost: power class (AC wall box, AC post, DC fast), grid connection, civil works and software. To get a real number, ask several suppliers for written quotes for your site, using the checklist below.

Why there is no price list here

Prices in a quote depend on the charger model, its power, the distance to the transformer, cable and civil works, and the exchange rate. Quotes from other countries do not transfer to Armenia, and numbers copied from a foreign blog would mislead you. We would rather say that we have none than invent a range.

Power classes in Armenia

Charger classes and what they deliver
ClassTypical powerEnergy added per hourTypical use
AC wall box or post7 kW (single-phase), 22 kW (three-phase)about 7 or 22 kWhHotels, homes, offices, restaurants, long stops
DC fast50 to 240 kWabout 50 to 240 kWh, limited by the carHighways, short stops

Energy per hour equals power in kW for one hour, before losses and the car’s own limits. At 17 kWh per 100 km, 7 kW adds roughly 40 km per hour.

Examples of what exists in the country: Team Energy lists AC at 7 and 22 kW and DC from 80 to 240 kW in its app; Auto Gallery announced 160 kW fast chargers with on-site battery storage in April 2026 (we have not confirmed that they are open); Open Charge Map has an undated entry for a 150 kW Sitronics Electro site in Yerevan.

How to compare quotes

  1. Ask at least three suppliers or installers, in writing, for the same site and specification.
  2. Require OCPP 1.6J or newer and remote firmware updates; see OCPP explained.
  3. Check connector types against your drivers’ cars; see connector types in Armenia.
  4. Ask for references of installed sites in Armenia and visit one.
  5. Check the warranty, who services it and how fast.
  6. Add the grid connection separately. For DC, the transformer and the connection can be a large part of the total.

For a home wall box, see home charging. To turn quotes into a payback estimate, use the payback calculator. We provide the software; we do not sell chargers or install them.

Questions and answers

How much does an EV charger cost in Armenia?

We found no published price quotes. Ask several suppliers for written quotes for your site.

Is DC fast charging worth it?

It needs much more grid power and capital. It fits highway sites with traffic; for long stops AC is usually enough.

Do I need OCPP?

Yes, if you want billing, remote control and a driver app from software. Choose chargers with OCPP 1.6J or newer.
