How to pay for EV charging in Armenia
You can pay for charging on the EV Armenia network with Idram, an ArCa bank card (through the IDBank gateway), Fastshift or the in-app wallet, and you can charge as a guest without an account. Every payment is charged at once, and the prepaid amount is a limit, not a bill: you pay for the energy you used. The unused part is refunded to your card, or kept as credit if you paid with Idram, Fastshift or the wallet.
How to pay for a charge
- Open the station and review the price card
The rate per kWh, any fees and the prepaid amount are shown before you pay. See charging prices.
- Choose a payment method
Pick Idram, a bank card, Fastshift or, if you have an account, your wallet. The amount is charged at once.
- Confirm in the bank or wallet app
Card payments open the IDBank payment page; Idram and Fastshift take you to their own confirmation. Then return to EV Armenia and start the charge.
- Receive your receipt
When the session ends, the final cost is calculated from the energy you took and a receipt goes to your e-mail. Any unused part is refunded to your card, or kept as credit if you paid with Idram, Fastshift or the wallet.
Methods compared
| Method | How it works | What happens to unused money |
|---|---|---|
| Idram | A push payment from your Idram wallet, charged at once. | Kept as credit under your e-mail (guest) or on your wallet balance |
| Bank card (ArCa via IDBank) | Processed by the IDBank gateway; we never see your card details. The amount is charged at once. Cards are not saved, so you enter the card on the bank’s page each time. | Refunded to the same card after the session |
| Fastshift | Payment through Fastshift (vPOS), charged at once. | Kept as credit under your e-mail (guest) or on your wallet balance |
| In-app wallet | Top up once with any method above and tap to charge. You pay for the energy actually used. | Stays on your balance |
The same rule applies to every method: the prepaid amount is a limit, and the final total is based on the energy you used.

Guest charging: what happens to the unused money
- Bank card: rest refunded. The amount is charged at once. After the session the unused part goes back to your card.
- Idram or Fastshift: rest kept as credit. The amount is charged at once and the unused part stays as a balance under your e-mail, ready for your next charge.
For guest charging you only give an e-mail address for the receipt. See how to charge an electric car in Armenia for the whole flow.
Not available yet
Telcell, Apple Pay, Google Pay, saved cards and automatic top-up are not available at the time of writing (28 October 2026). If your card is declined by the gateway, for example a foreign card the gateway does not accept, pay with Idram or another method instead.
Why Idram and ArCa matter in Armenia
Idram is the largest QR payment network in the country, and in January 2026 Armenpress reported that WeChat Pay users can pay by scanning Idram QR codes at more than 26,000 points of sale. In June 2026 it reported that IdramNet and ArcaQR, the two largest QR systems, are working on interoperability. For a driver this means the wallet or card you already use for daily payments is the one you use at the charger. Station owners can read how the integrations work in payment integration for EV charging apps.
