EV charging cost calculator (Armenia, AMD)
To estimate what a charge costs, multiply the energy you take from the grid by the price per kWh. Energy added equals battery size times the percentage you add; the grid delivers about 10% more because of charging losses. For a 60 kWh battery charged from 20% to 80% at 100 AMD per kWh the bill is about 3,960 AMD, and the car gains about 210 km.

An estimate: the real bill depends on the tariff, charging losses, battery temperature and the car’s charging curve. The price field is filled from the EV Armenia catalog and can be changed.
The formula
- Energy added = usable battery capacity x (target % - current %) / 100.
- Energy you pay for = energy added x (1 + losses / 100). Losses are the share lost as heat in the charger and car; 10% is a common planning assumption.
- Cost = energy you pay for x price per kWh.
- Range added = energy added / consumption per 100 km x 100.
A worked example
| Step | Value |
|---|---|
| Energy added | 60 x 60 / 100 = 36 kWh |
| Energy you pay for | 36 x 1.10 = 39.6 kWh |
| Cost at 100 AMD per kWh | 39.6 x 100 = about 3,960 AMD |
| Range added at 17 kWh per 100 km | 36 / 17 x 100 = about 212 km |
These values are an example, not a forecast. Your battery, consumption and losses differ.

Where to find your numbers
- Usable battery capacity is in the car’s specification. It is usually lower than the headline figure.
- Consumption is in the car’s trip computer; winter and highway driving raise it.
- Price per kWh: the EV Armenia network charges 100 AMD for AC. Home electricity costs 44.98 AMD by day and 34.98 AMD at night in 2026; see home charging. Other networks are in charging prices.
Why charging above 80% is slower
Most cars slow down as the battery fills, especially on fast chargers, so the last 20% takes disproportionately long. On AC chargers like ours the power is set by the station and the car’s on-board charger, so time is roughly the energy added divided by the power. For a 36 kWh addition at 7 kW, expect around 5 hours; check the actual power on the station page.

Questions and answers
How much does it cost to fully charge an EV in Armenia?
Multiply the battery size by the price per kWh and add about 10% for losses. For a 60 kWh battery at 100 AMD per kWh, 0 to 100% is about 6,600 AMD.
Why is the real bill different?
Tariffs, losses, battery temperature and the car’s charging curve all vary. The calculator is an estimate.
Does the calculator send my data anywhere?
No. It runs in your browser and sends nothing.
